regular exercise
Many people today are hooked on health, fitness, self-improvement and all that. Yet, they are not aware of the many outstanding benefits that are associated with regular exercise.
Strong bones, toned body, strong muscles, healthier skin, better mood, better sleep, stronger immune response, and a healthy body are just some of the priceless benefits of regular exercise. However, in spite of all of its important factors, many people are still hesitant to go after a regular workout regimen.
Perhaps this is generally due to the hectic schedules of the world these days or at times is it because they lack motivation. Yet, no matter what the reason may be, people should also try to free no less than one hour per day for exercise so that you can reap its many benefits.
One major benefit is weight control. Many of us want to tone our bodies or lose some of that unwanted fat and exercise can help improve or maintain your weight. A regular fitness regimen can also help you build stronger muscles. The more muscle you have the more calories you burn. For each pound of muscle you add to your body, you will burn additional 35 to 50 calories. And what most people don't know is that muscle burns calories even when you are not working out.
On the other hand, you actually expand your life span, which is one of the direct benefits of regular exercise. Having a strong body throughout your older years will prevent you from getting the common symptoms of old-age, such as reduced movement and increase in stiffness levels, the inability to remain active for longer periods of time and walking difficulties. By engaging yourself in these activities you are dramatically improving your chances of staying healthy in your older years.
If you are one to commonly enjoy takeouts and fast foods, you really need to understand the benefits of regular exercise, because your cholesterol levels are just increasing from consuming foods that are just no good for you. Many people suffer from heart attacks and other cardiovascular problems as they have not taken care of their own body, by providing themselves with the wrong fuel. This is such a big problem around the whole world that even a small glimpse into the benefits of regular exercise can make a difference. Ultimately, as they say, you are what you eat. That is not to say not to consume these foods, but just on a scale which you are not damaging your body or presenting yourself with some serious health threats down the line, when you least expect them. It should therefore wise, to make a change while you still can.
